Pro Tip!

Refrigeration Technicians handle air conditioning while Mechanical Plumbers take care of hot water systems, gas heaters and evaporative cooling. It’s important to know what system you have so we can send the correct technician. If you are not sure, contact our friendly staff and we will help you figure it out!

Repairs

We understand heating, cooling and hot water systems can break down when you need them the most – those hot days where all you want is air con or freezing mornings when you need to defrost.

That’s why our top priority is to get them fixed as quickly as possible.

Our process is simple and transparent; first, we assess the issue and identify the root cause. Then, we provide you with a clear explanation of what’s wrong, what’s needed to fix it, and an estimate of any parts or labor costs involved.

If replacement is a better option, we’ll also give you an approximate cost for that alternative, so you can make the best decision for your needs and budget.

Remember…prevention is better than a cure. So to avoid needing AC repairs in the middle of summer, or gas heater repairs in the middle of winter, book in for a general service during Spring or Autumn.

General Servicing

Book 2 units in for a General Service & receive a discount off your 2nd unit!

Regular servicing ensures optimal performance, improves energy efficiency, extends your systems lifespan, and helps prevent costly breakdowns.

It is recommended by manufactures to get your system serviced every 2 years.

If you’d rather not keep track of this, just let our friendly staff know, and we’ll set up a reminder for you.

Some systems, like Brivis Gas Ducted Heaters and Evaporative Coolers, feature an alert when it’s time for a service, triggered after 1500 hours of use, which is estimated to be 2 years worth of use. So if you have a little spanner pop up informing you’ve reached 1500 hours of use, give us a call to book in your general service.

We also provide VBA compliant Gas Safety Rental Checks which are mandatory every 2 years for rental properties.

The top 5 reasons to service your system include:

  1.  Improved efficiency ensure your unit is running optimally & reduce running costs
  2. Safety – ensure electrical components and, depending on the unit, ensure there are no water/gas/refrigerant leaks
  3. Reliability – prevent issues & costly breakdowns before they occur
  4. Longevity – regular servicing can help extend your units lifespan
  5. Clean air – clean filters = clean air

We have yearly servicing specials, so follow us on Facebook to receive alerts when discounted services are available.

Gas Heater Servicing

  • Clean the filters (to ensure you are breathing clean air)
  • Clean and test the electrical and mechanical components (such as fan motor, gas valve, ignitor and flame sensor rods)
  • Check for any wear and tear to the components (such as the heat exchangers which can crack and leak carbon monoxide, which can cause health problems)
  • Check the gas supply & operating pressure and ensure the appliance is gastight
  • Check for abnormal operation (which could cause potential issues in the future)
  • Test for carbon monoxide (CO) spillage
  • Ensure the system is operating efficiently and to manufacturers specifications (to reduce running costs and increasing life span)
  • Complete the full VBA safety and installation inspection, as required by the Victorian Building Authority 2022 regulations
