We are excited to announce there is now a way you can convert your Gas Ducted Heating to Electric Ducted Heating!
And even better, you still keep your Gas Ducted Heater and can switch between using gas or electricity.
Its a brand new product made by Brivis, but you must have both a Brivis Gas Ducted Heater, plus a compatible Brivis Add On Cooler.
How does it work?
The Brivis SmartSens Hybrid kit connects to your Brivis Add On Cooler, which in turn is connected to your Brivis Gas Ducted Heater.
As Add On Coolers utilize refrigerated cooling technology, and so does electric ducted heating, you are basically turning your Brivis Add On Cooler into a Ducted Reverse Cycle Air Conditioner!
As you get to keep your Gas Heater, plus have the added the option of Electric Heating, you can choose which energy source to use at any given time. Manually select gas or electricity, or set it to Auto Mode and allow the SmartSens Hybrid system to decide the best energy source to heat the home.
You can switch between both at any time. For example you may select Gas when you turn the system on to quickly heat your house, then once its reached your desired temperature, switch to electricity to save on running costs.
What are the benefits?
Normally to change your Gas Ducted Heater over to Electric Ducted Heating involves removing your Gas Ducted Heater and replacing it with a Ducted Reverse Cycle Air Conditioner. Often with a duct upgrade required to handle refrigerated cooling.
The Brivis SmartSens Hybrid kit allows you to keep your existing Gas Ducted Heater, Add On Cooler and ducts.
Plus being able to switch between using Gas or Electricity for your heating gives you more control of your energy source and costs.
What does the conversion kit include?
The SmartSens conversion kit includes a small control box which connects to your Add On Cooler indoor unit, an ambient temperature sensor and an upgraded N-C6S controller.
